wheels spacers

When fitting my 18" wheels (MK2 dimensions) on my MK1 Vee i need some spacers for the back. Does anybody know how wide they need to be. So that the wheel sits back as original.

Try here for FK spacers

http://www.performancedriven.co.uk/

You're probably not going to get an 18mm so will have to go to 20mm and if neccessary have it machined down.

The specs you need are 5 bolt, 108pcd, 60.1 centre bore - the site may only list a few spacers explicitly for the V6 but it you find FKs actual site you'll see that the Laguna, Espace etc are the same values so spacers that work on them will work on the v6.

Don't forget you'll need longer bolts and specs for them are:

M12 1.5mm thread, 60 degree concical seat. Standard length is 35mm (thread length).

Forgot to mention - I've brought from Performance Driven and the FK spacers are good quality, light and significantly cheaper than the equivalent H&K hubcentric spacers. They told me it would take 2 weeks to get the particular sizes I needed and they were absolutely spot on.

Just check the centre bore is 60.1mm as required for the vee.

You will probably find the laguna and megane have a CB of 65mm, this will
create major problems as the spacer will fit the hub with 4.9mm play
(which can be corrected with a spigot ring) but wont fit the alloy as it will
be 4.9mm too wide!! :(

As v6max quite rightly says go for 5x108mm PCD with a 60.1mm CB hubcentric spacer
and you shouldn't have any problems :approve:

just another quick question. The 35mm is this the original "bolt" length or is this the length with already the extra 20mm? And another question. If i want to level the wheel with the arch. How wide is the spacer going to be for the rear and for the front.

35mm is the original bolt length so you need to get ones that are longer by the width of the spacer (Demon Tweeks for example).

To get the alloys level with the arch wall, simply measure the gap between tyre
wall and bodywork and order the spacer width to this dimension. :approve:
