I'm new so don't flame me.

I have a Clio 197 Cup on order and want a set of spare wheels.

The Clio 3 has 108 x 5 PCD, different from the Clio 1 and 2. I am not sure of the offset for that at the moment, no-one seems to know. I think it is ET60 or thereabouts.

I've spoken to a v6Clio member as he has a set of Mk1 V6 wheels for sale. Can somebody help me with the full specs of the MK1 and Mk2 wheels, from doing a search it appears that the Mk1 is ET50 and the Mk2 is ET68.

Are the front and rear wheels the same width?

Many thanks

Are you planning on fitting Mk1 Vee wheels to a 197? I suspect that hugely won't work hehe :) The front and rears are different widths, and they're a pretty serious offset to get them sticking out into the big arches.

Well there's not a great deal of technical help in your answer :s
What width(s) are the Front and Rear wheels? If they do differ, perhaps I can get what I'm looking for by sourcing two sets of front wheels or two sets of rear wheels.
As for your answer that ET50 or ET68 is pretty serious to fill out the big arches, that makes no sense as ET0 would fill the arches far more! I suspect that they chose a high offset for chassis dynamics and/or brake caliper clearance [smilie=icon_clown.gif]

I'm sure that you are letting the side down with your helpful reply and there are many more helpful and knowledgable members who may be able to answer my questions. Get down from you high V6 horse, just because I haven't got one, doesn't mean you cannot communicate with a lesser owner.

I love the V6, If I had a free reign I'd get one, but I have to get a car that satisfies my employers as well as weekends to Spa and the 'ring.

Not really sure where that reply came from to be honest, I was actually trying to help - you asked if the wheels were different widths - I answered.

Feel free to think all of that, but getting arsey isn't going to get you anywhere...

It just seemed that you were taking the piss.
Obviously it was not intentional so I apologise for my rant.

No probs :)

Fronts are, iirc, 7.5j (205/50/17 tyres) and rears are 8.5j (235/45/17 tyres). Not sure on the rest, but I'm sure I've read it somewhere on here before - I'd search and look but Demon has throttled me to 128kbps connection, so it's a bit of a none-starter really...

Cheers, so it looks like 4 fronts would do me fine. Just need to find someone that want's to swap their Mk1 fronts for a set of rears!
