guys , need a bit of advice here re our 'new 'ph 1 ..... my painter friend agreed to freshen up the wheels . but when he went to get the wheels off , found there was no locknut key in the kit ...... we contacted the guy we bought the car from and he told us a story how his mate in a diffferent town had it and he'd post it to us ......

anyway 2-3 weeks later no lock nut , no wheel refresh and no using car as the rear is on axle stands .

is the ph 1 locknut a standard renault lock nut or a special ? wheres the best place to get one if its v6 specific . i can get one here in oz if its stock item .

thanks !! rob

ps why a locknut , who's going to steal v6 wheels ???

They are locking wheel bolts, nearest Renault dealer can get you one you will need the key number for it. Might be in the paperwork you got with the car? If not....
Some dealers have master keys, you will then need to fit a new set.

I had to get my rears changed in Dec 2008. Couldnt find the the wheel locking nuts! The dealer said it came with the car when I bought it ..... errrrr no. Anyway Renault drilled off the locks (or whatever they are called) and put a new set on and supplied me with a new set of wheel locking nuts/bolts whatever they are! Last resort but thats Renault said they had to do (I dont trust them personally). Charged me £200 for the privilege!! Rip off or what?!?!

ouch .. 200 !!!!

i think have solved it , the key was sent to wrong address . trying to track it down at post office .
