Wheel Alignment Ph1

I am meant to be picking my car up tomorrow afternoon at long last, but the garage rang before to say they are having problems getting the correct settings for the front wheel alignment / tracking. I provided the details to them from a previous thread on here re the Camber / alignment.

These are the readings from the French manual.

Mk 1 V6

Front Caster - +5degrees plus or Minus 30 minutes

Front Camber - Minus 45 minutes plus or minus 20 minutes

Pivot? - 13 degrees Plus or Minus 30 minutes

The above cannot be adjusted

Rear Toe - plus 30 minutes Plus or Minus 10 minutes

Rear Camber - Minus 1 degree 30 minutes Plus or Minus 20 minutes

The above cannot be adjusted

Rear Toe - Plus 45 minutes Plus or Minus 10 minutes.

For Toe adjustment 1 turn = 1 degree. (6mm)

Does anybody know if there are any other details they should need? or are they just taking the p*ss now

Cheers
Rob

I used those same settings for mine as the handling was all over the shop when i first bought it. The garage i used could not match them exactly but set it up as close as possible, the change was fantastic. Drives like it should now, whereas it used to feel like it was aqauplaning at speed.

Cool...i shall get onto the garage first thing tomorrow morning....

Unfortunatly i had just put on new tyres all round before the crash so there won't be much wear yet.
