What have you done to your Retro Renault today?

What did I do with my renault today? I drove it to work, drove it home went round a right hand bend and the fuel light came on so its that time or the week again. got out of the car, looked back and thought. Shit I need to clean that before trax lol!!
 
My 19 hasn't moved all day. Working nights and looking after my 3 year old girl in the day time :x

Got in at 5.30am up at 7.30am 2 hours sleep plus 1 in the evening and back to work at 9pm... :roll:
 
I changed the starter motor on my 19 ,what a shit job.
I had one changed last year by a local garage , the polish mechanic charged me 35 quid!
How can he do it that cheap? He must of kicked him self when he realises what he has got to do!
It took me ages.

yes , i put a new one on when i rebuilt it at christmas , i used the old starter and alternator , so im sure te alt will give up next
 
like ive said before, its the alt, there is a vid on youtube of mines at wsr, would just about turn over but not enough power.

get the alt checked, i changed mines and not a problem since, my car ran fine but it was just the hot start shit
 
sorry for delay didnt see the post,, well i got a welder to do mine,, but very simple as all he did was remove the spot welds, but get a good welder,,

Sweet mate, pretty much done with the wings now, little bit left of pass side then ive gotta start the repairs around the fuel tank......the joys of weldin while lying under a car, not lookin forward to that so much!
 
New update for my R 9

I have F7P engine in my R9 and my update today is putting Walbro 255 fuel pump with universal fuel pressure regulator and removing the original one and closed it`s place.
And as usual no new upgrade with no problems :D,as the car idle good but hesitate when i accelerate from idle till 4000 RPM after that it runs well.
The car performance become better at the end of each gear as i have performance chip so i shift at 7800 RPM.
But i am still searching for the hesitation problem although i open 45 psi.
So if anyone have an idea of how to fix this problem.
 
Mine is not so much retro however here goes:

replaced hazard switch - replacement had the same problem
replaced trip/wiper stalk to sort out back sprayer issue, problem is still there
replaced drivers side window switches - problem solved
replaced thermometer in drivers side wing mirror - temp display problem solved
