What do they make bonnets out of..

Thanks for the warning - I've found it quite difficult to shut the bonnet and have had to push rather hard at times. I'll bear it in mind!

How bad is it?

NEVER EVER push it shut.

Its SOOOO easy to put a wrinkle in the bonnet.

Trust me, only you'll be able to see it but it'll drive you mad!

Peter

Hold bonnet 8 inches from closed and drop it shut as stated in the handbook, 8 inches was easy to work out, its about half the legnth of my pr@#k, 8) .

Err ... don't you mean twice ;). Or actually maybe you don't since we of course all know Vee owners are well endowed in almost all ways ... style, intelligence, wit, success, good looks, virility ;). I know I am .

Makes me laugh that steel Clio bonnets are so crap and easily bent. The light weight alloy bonnet on my Mk1 172, was feather light, but seemed almost bullet proof.

I've always dropped the bonnet on the Vee, since I've heard too many horror stories about people bending them.

It's not shockingly bad but as Peter said knowing it's there is the problem. I'm hoping the posh wax I've got coming tomorrow will create such a shine that the glare will hide it.

the shine may emphasise it?!?!

sounds daft but this may work, clamp a toilet plunger onto it and pull very lightly..this may pull it back to normal..

I knew it'd be subtly witty since it was posted by Super James, the King of the V6 owners. However, my tired old eyes took a while to spot it .

Ohhh .. and I think his style rating is looking flakey given his love of Maxi brown and a £9.99 watch (in place of a £27k timepiece - was this what your wife spent the "missing" money on a couple of Xmases back?) ;).
