What a cool story......

Fantastic. I wonder if the Coventry transport museum will take my 21 Quadra on. I dont think ill leave them £1m though, more like £4.26 and some pocket fluff...

It's a strange graduation present.

An old chum has a Lotus Elan that he's had since 1968 when the car was a year old. That's not so remarkable, but he has done nearly 800,000 miles in the car now, which is pretty well unheard of for a Lotus! He still drives it every day, but feels that he's running out of time to make his target of 1,000,000 miles.

He intends to be buried in it!

Nice story Mark.

There must be something very satisfying about using the same 'revered' car for an eternity. Maybe updating components (such as brakes etc) when the tech has improved. Hats off to your old chum!

Having a Rolls Royce for graduation smacks of elitism and doesn't really make such a good story.
