Megane Well... Bugger.

Ring miles are hard on brakes... think they say 1 mile at the ring is worth 30 road miles, so 14 x 30 = 420.... 420 x 60 = 25,200 miles...

So you roughly got 28,000 miles use out of them discs... not to bad really.

The ring's not that hard on brakes tbf - I'd hate to see how the standard cross-drilled brakes would get on at an actual UK track day... :(
Still - as I say, swapped now and back there in a few weeks so we'll know! :D

Wait till you're doing it to non drilled/grooved ones too. My poor little 172 has a crack worse than that in good quality OE discs at similar mileage. I think I need bigger discs on it lol. Same happened to my 21 on OE discs, it cracked from the edge, to the middle, around the hub and back out the other side halfway across the face...needless to say that now sports 4-pots and 330's!

I'm running a big brake conversion willwood 4 pot setup on my track 182 and it gets it's head kicked in on a trackday. Solid discs of course, but CL RC6E pads which are pretty harsh. Touch wood, nothing untoward on the clio yet! I do drive that like I stole it and it does hours upon hours of abuse and laps it up - I love that clio :D

For a setup I can drive to the shops or put the dog on the boot (the megane) I'm trying to keep it civilised but it also needs to serve duty at the ring as I go once a month or so. So (I'm hoping!) the new solid discs combined with RBF660 and CL RC5+ pads keep it in check. :) Will report back!

I love that clio
I think its a requirement of owning a Cliosport that you kick its head in. Theyre so resiliant. Mines on 153k now and it uses about half a litre of oil per 1000 miles but i'm still merciless with the poor thing. Ive refurbed everything but the engine, waiting in the hope it lasts till I can get around to an engine rebuild with a supercharger, (thanks for that @Ricardo )
It would be done by now but I took on another project I couldnt refuse last year which it getting towards finished now, albeit with a financial hole in my head the size of Lithuania.
