Weepy sump ..

The base of my sump is weeping ... very strange, im gonna have to replace it but just curious if this has happened to anybody in the past ?

Nope ... the base as in the base of it .... as if the oil has weeped through the metal ......

Impossible mate. Steel in a non-ferrous material. Either you have a hole in your sump and its leaking out or it's dripping/seeping etc from somewhere. Did you replace the sump plug washer last time you changed the oil?

The area all around it is bone dry mate .....

I see it on an old Sierra I had before - I think the sump had been knocked a couple of time and was a bit rusty!!

Could try some quick metal on it, or just replace the sump!

If its rusty clean it up and have a nosy.

Steel sump is around £70 from Renault I think

Either that or its dripped from elsewhere and the airflow has blown it back under the engine.
