I'mma let you finish, but...

1. moved this post to the Items Wanted forum

2. noooooo don't put Bendix ABS back into the car! It WILL fail and you WILL be left with no braking power when you most need it. Instead, use the master cylinder and pipework from a non-ABS system and ditch the ABS.

Think of this as an opportunity to prevent having to replace the braking system at a later date. N.B. the later (1992-) ABS system is Bosch and is not compatible.

most definitely agreed. As with many folks on here one of mine had abs failure and when it goes it really goes hence the name widowmaker brakes.

Nope, IIRC, the brakes have their own "brain" located opposite the battery compartment

The ABS has its own ECU, relays etc lurking in the scuttle on the passenger side.
It also has a massive motor and pump attached to the bulkhead!

Bendix ABS has a much squarer looking fluid reservoir.
