Wandering steering/headlamp adjustment/rain sensitive wipers

New to 255 V6 and your excellent website; please help

Is it normal for steering to wander in a straight line, particularly bad over 80mph on A and B roads- it's very unnerving or is this just a V6 trait being rear engined? It's not fitted with the Michelin Pilots but has Dunlop SP Sport at the front, could this contribute to it?

Please how do I adjust the headlamps?

How do the rain sensitive wipers work, they don't seem to increase or decrease the wiper speed

Awesome car, why didn't I have one sooner!

Poor REAR tracking causes the wandering and will wear tyres.

4 wheel alignment to correct specs is worth the money

head lights adjusted though removing the tray and, and using a 8mm hex key on the white nut, clock wise for up, anti clock for down.

On the mk2 (guess the mk1 is the same????)
Right hand stalk, pull down 1 click goes into rain sensitive mode, 2 pulls down puts the wipers on constant and 3 down is fast swipe.

On the rain sensitive setting you can adjust the sensitivity by twisting the inner rotating bit on the stalk.

Think this makes sense although if any info is slightly off its probably due 2 me being knackered having just come back from the pub

Are the Dunlop's the right size? AFAIK the only tyre with the correct dimensions for the front is the Pilots! On the rears the only alternative is the Dunlops but they're run flats!

The Vee is definitely figgety at speed ... being mid-engined and having a short wheelbase means that it's moment of inertia is low ... and it will tramline on some roads. However, I wouldn't say that it wanders badly at speed!

Thanks for all your help, what an informative lot you are!

Andy I may be out of the loop but what does AFAIK in your comments mean?
