This afternoon, I was invited upto to Silverstone to spend the afternoon thrashing Vauxhalls VXR range round the track.
Had 3 cars to choose from;
Astra VXR (2.0 16v turbo)
Corsa VXR (1.6 16v turbo
Insignia VXR (2.8 v6 turbo 4wd)
I took them all out one by one, and the Astra definitely felt like a turbo car. The turbo kicked in violenty, and reminded me of my 21. The corsa handled best overall, and the insignia, was the quickest, but no-where near as agile round the bends, but still held its own surprisingly!!
My top speed was 109 mph, and overall I scored 90%, which I was well chuffed with!
Personally I would buy the Astra, as it handled the best, & I felt in touch with the road. The turbo is amazing, and they make a lovely sound on boost....
However I'm still rating the 21 over the above cars
