Valve caps

looch

New Member
Hello
Since buying my vee a coupleof months back, Ive not had to put any air in the tyres, Ive just washed her and cleaned the wheels and I noticed the valve caps seem to be seized on. Any ideas apart from ragging them with a pair of pliers? These are metal valve caps (not the kind I would buy as I hate them) so could it be possible that these have some kind of key to undo them???

Hi Wayne..

The V6 comes with metal valves as original equipment. Personally, I think they suit the car and look way better than the general black plastic/rubber ones. If you can't get the caps off using 2 sets of grips, one on the valve and one on the cap, you may need to go to your prefered tyre specialist to have it removed or replaced.
