Illiad Blue Phase 2 [v6plaque]172[/v6plaque] - V6 MGW

Very sadly new project forces sale; I am restoring a 39.5 year old VW T2 Bay camper van to use when motorsport marshaling.

Car currently with Scott, SG Motorsport Services, for it's annual service and MoT.

I bought this car in April 2015 and it has been my everyday runner; it has been serviced and maintained by Scott (no expense spare). Car is standard apart from a Pro-Speed exhaust and carbon fiber side air intakes. It comes with lever arch file of history and the service record is complete.

Extras include a pair of Motordrive carbon fiber seats (and fixing brackets), cover and some other bits.

Current mileage 91K

I am looking for offers around £24.5k

Its a bad time of year to sell a summer car, plus a lot of my more wealthy mates that do a lot of jumping around premium cars have stopped buying until this brexit shite has blown over. Some seem to think there is a big bubble burst on the horizon. It feels to me like the V6 market has gone a bit shaky too and mid-20's cars and upwards are struggling to sell.

Just my tuppence worth.
 
^^^As per Dave’s comments. I’ve been wanting to replace my daily but have been reluctant to commit to any significant purchases while hard Brexit is still on the table.

On a positive note, there may be some stimulation of the Vee market if the newly featured ‘unregistered Liquid Yellow’ sells for a record fee. Watch this space.
 
My phase 2 illiad was bought by someone from France a few months ago, also! Maybe they are worth a lot more over there.

They are worth at least ten thousand more in France so well worth the conversion to LHD costs for the French buyer of a UK car.

I spotted your old one come up for sale in France last night. Its already been converted to LHD.

Money to be had in selling them elsewhere.

The UK market is still the cheapest place to get them worldwide (if you live in the UK). Japan and South Africa are similar prices. Everywhere else they are 10's of thousands more.

It's a terrific markup on what they paid for it, and they've not got the mileage quite correct in that advert!

I looked the reg plate up online and the VIN came back as yours.

They probably are stated the mileage that shows up on the KM dash they have put in!
