V6 in Motorsport gallery

I thought I'd better upload my AY safety car and FOS 2005 pics to a gallery - would be a shame if I lost them on my personal PC.
TBH It could be entitled 'V6 on track' or such. I'll let the moderators loose with their artistic license on that.
I know there were IB and LY safety cars and it would be a reasonable place to post up pictures from other track events.

There are a couple of #002 "dressed up as if it was about to go on track to lead the parade lap" but I believe were taken at Renault UK's car park. Do they count?

Perhaps it should be a gallery for road going vee's in Motorsport application only - no track days or trophy cars (which have their own section).

I found some pics of Alan Mcnish in an illiad 255 at World Series 2003 at Donnington.

I'll upload them to the gallery in a bit.

Is the date wrong Mark?
The photos are dated on the photographers website - which may be wrong of course. I'm pretty sure it's right though as there are references to it in news websites too. Aparantly Allan was a test driver for Renault F1 in 2003

would not have been World series by Renault..... did not start till 2005. There were Nissan world series or superfund at Donington earlier but not promoted by Renault so would not have thought they would be running a v6 Clio there, may be wrong. There was a Eurocup V6 race series at Donington but that ran as part of the superace weekend along with GT and ETCC.


Edit, just looked at the captions with the photos and they are from Formula Renault winter series Donington 2003.

Ahh ok! The event appeared to be called the Renault winter series. I just assumed that was the same thing as World Series. It was part of the 2003 UK formula renault season.

Spotted they used a ph1 road car as the safety car in the 2002 trophy at Monaco. :race: :approve:
