Nick whale doesn't own the cars at the auction , he sells them on commision as per every other auction, he does run a showroom as well, that operates on a different set up but is still commision based, I agree the guide price was way over, but he did get 22 for a phase 2 last year.
The car that went through today looked great, and made good money, but with the mods it was still good value, it is the time of year when prices start to go up as well, maybe that had an effect on it, also Nicks client base and Auctions are not your typical car auction, they are high end auction houses, not British car auctions, different kind of clientele, maybe British car auctions would have returned 6 grand on that car, that's probably why the owner put it with Nick,I'm sure he is happy with that result , but who knows?
