Guys

Have any of you had any problems with the body control module?

Ive not had any problems with my vee but ive now had a couple of 52/53 plate 1.2i clios come to me with headlight, indicator or wiper faults.

I found this guy and he is excellent, mega quick and reliable.

this may help somebody sometime. Ive read threads online of Renault dealers quoting £600-£800 to replace this unit.

I had to have a new one.. 1 week into ownership. At the time Scott said it was the first time he'd seen one fail.

A brief forum search for UCH shows a few expensive issues.

Usually caused, IIRC, when water gets into the UCH and/or wiring. Common on sunroof models. I won't buy anything from that era with a sunroof because they leak like a sieve most of the time. Spent days scouring the web and viewing cars to find my Mrs a 1.2 5-door Clio without a sunroof...

I don't know why but it doesn't. Scott tried one on mine before getting the v6 one.
