so, what tyres do you all go for?

im going to go for Vredestein as they have been recommended by my usual tyre place, and seen good reviews for them too

Toyo T1R's

I have to admit I prefer the older T1S's though, both are great in the wet and dry and cheap.

Although when this set are done I think rainsport 2's may be going on next.

i've not had to buy tyres for my 19s yet, had good ones on the wheels i've bought so far. I would like some michelin pe2's though

I also prefer toyo and like Chris I miss the T1S's, Had T1R's on UCC and they were superb in all weathers.
Got T1R's on the Evo at the mo but want to stick some R888's on for the summer, trouble with those is for my size summer wheels, they are £242 each!

R888 Are great in summer, but shit in the Rain Neil Tunny, could'nt keep up with us when it was raining on the way to the ring any more than 50 mph, and it all over the road.

Easy decision.

This weekend I changed all my Goodrich tyres for some slightly used Toyo T1Rs which I had lying around.

I couldn't believe the difference, the chammy steers better, drives better and feels so much nicer to drive. In fact, I was going to start a thread about it tonight anyway!

The toyos are the best tyres I have driven on in the wet tbh.

we get a lot of wetness up here

as above toyo t1r very good alrounder. toyo 888 for outright dry grip very suspect after 90 in the wet / damp

Maybe jumping the bandwagon but T1Rs worked superbly on the Ph1 Coupe. On the track they really bedded in well too.

The superb grip in the wet compared to the kumho on the rear is probably the contributing factor to why the rear end looped away on me before christmas.

The new wheels have some nankangs on and they feel bad enough in the dry in comparison. In the wet the ABS kicked in very often when avoiding plonkers out there. In the corners you can't exit well at all, it just spins op. The toyos give you so much confidence and are still fairly forgiving.

I have to say the first difference when I went from the older t1S's to the new T1r's is that the rear was WORSE. Still good but its not as solid as it used to be.

Still for the money you can't moan at all.

I was thinking of getting Goodyear EAGLE F1 GS-D3 next time.. The reviews seem to be good.. Currently on T1R's, but one of them has a ripped wire I think..

Vreds are very good baz, I know plenty of guys running them on their M3s over the Conti sports.

Toyo are good too but they wear out a little quick for my liking.

Falken 452s are also a very good tyre and good value for money.
