Tyre speed rating question

Hi all,

Ive been looking at getting a new set of tyres for my Phase 1, Ive decided to go for the Michelin Pilot sport PS3's

The problem I've found is that I can only get the 205/50/17 in speed rating 'W', the 235/45/17 is speed rating 'Y'

Ive looked at a few different manufacturers and they seem to be different speed ratings for the two different tyre sizes.

Is it ok to mix speed ratings on different axels?

I have and do. Wouldn't worry, both are rated above the V6 V-Max.

Hi all.

New tyres all fitted now! Michelin PS3s all round, 4 wheel alignment, front and back were way out!
Quick question, I've not bought a full set of tyres in for a while,
Is there bedding in period for them on these cars?

All new tyres need some bedding in as there's a 'releasing agent' on them, a hundred miles or so should do the trick
