Thanks

Im guessing its almost unheard of for a MK 2 to be running MK 1 wheels then

Not heard of such a tale...

I think i'd be inclined to run the 230 tyre preasue though. See how you get on. If its only temporary, shouldn't matter too much... maybe try something between the two even!?

Id say try both, take it up to 50mph+ and turn the wheel gently and slowly left to right, which ever feels most stable run those pressures.

If the pressures are wrong it will feel like the back is wallowing all over the shop and you might have a heart in the mouth moment.

mk1 pressures are 1.4 bar front and 2.1 rear.

i have a feeling mk2 pressures would be best for you, as i have a feeling the major difference is more due to the revisions on the geometry on the mk2 than the size of the wheels.

Thanks - im running at sort of in between, as suggested I tried a few different setting until I found something comfortable.

Hope to sort this asap though.

Ah, Shaun (guillaume) and I had a conversation on the phone yesterday which will answer this, phase 1 front tyres are 205 50 17 and phase 2's are 205? 40? 18 (sorry I was listening Shaun)- lower profile on the phase 2's so greater pressure needed

I need to add that tyres wasn't all we talked about....have you booked Whistler yet Shaun?

Jamie..! Yeah, you're right about 288 tyre size on the front. With presures as knowledge base states. knowledge/kb_show.php?id=22

I'll be seeing my mates I go boarding with friday night, so i'll bring up Whistler then... You're a bad influence!. I'm supposed to be kurbing my spending this year!! lol Lets have some confirmation from you on the Dieppe trip while we're at it too!..

Regarding Kevins post though. Duncan has a point about the geometry differences from the 230 to the 255, but I cant beleive there's any extra weight on the 255 front end to the 230, so surely the tyre size reflects a more appropriate pressure?.. I dunno... I'd just go with what feels right betwen the two I think. lol

Speaking of 250, do these from K-Tec actually fot a MK2 without any problems?
