What is the reccomendation/optimun front & back for the Mk2 on std sizes? Everyday and trackday?

Everyday is front 2.0 and rear 2.1

Trackday people will advise soon I'm sure.

Trackday use I find 2.1 bar all round is a good pressure, this was advised by Renaultsport on one of the track meets at Donington.

Assuming your on standard factory Michelin tyres

MK 1

1.4 front

2.1 rear

Pressures for tyre sizes Front 205/50 ZR17 Rear 205/45 ZR17

Think I'm running Dunlop...? Did they not make tennis balls?

Its also worth checking your pressures about once a month, my vee tends to get abit twitchy if they drop only a little.

Why are my front tyres 205/45/17 Dunlops? Should they be 50 profile? Also had my tyre pressures checked today - fronts are 1.8 and backs (new ones) were 2.8!!!!!!!

The guy said no way could the fronts go down to 1.4/1.6......

If you aren't running michelins what are the fornt tyre pressures recomeneded and also is it bad to mix and match different brands of tyre?
