TWR Devploment Bit Build

Well the problem with the injectors not firing was a strange one.

I tried several things and checked everything out loads of times still with no joy.

So I decided to move onto the job of finishing fitting the throttle body as I had only twisted and tapped the wires (just wanted to see it work).
I finished that job and went back to the injector problem which had now seemed to have fixed its self, so I disconnected the throttle body to see if it made any difference and the 2 injectors stopped firing again reconnected and the all worked fine. The only thing I can think is that those two injectors pick there +v feed of the same rail in the ECU that feed the throttle body and having it dissconnected screewed the load up.
I didnt give it a thought that it was that causing the issue because the throttle body was working fine with them twisted.

Lesson learnt again less speed more haste.

Got it started and it sounds real nice much smoother then the original lump and the OMG and development system add real rasp to the sound of the exhaust. :)

just need to bleed the clutch now although cant seem to see that proceedure in the manual need to have a good look.

Couldnt find the procedure for clutch but the way I did it seems fine.

A few finishing touches needed but its now out the garage (drove out) and washed and polished considering its been in there for 18 months not to many marks that didnt polish out will have to buff a little herder in places.

It sounds awsome real raspy with a nice pop now and then and a rummble on tick over :)

Have you got Dialogys by any chance? There's a description of the clutch bleeding process in that (think it's 2 stages off the top of my head).

I promise to get some pics up soon but pc shagged at the mo and borrowed mates today.

Anyway all is good so far MOT done, it runs very rich at the moment and is in need of re-map and fueling adjusted.

It does however take off and feels like a turbo kicks in at around 3750 to 6500rpm and the noise is so loud its wicked. I do have a couple of other issues at the moment one is it needs the tracking and geometry setting up and Air Con needs gassing. The imissions light has come on this will be due to the over fueling, Ive decided to use RS Tunning as cant find anyone local with good reputation that can do the fuel adjustment, plus they have done same setup before. I did try the OEM injectors instead of the grey ones but cant get enough fuel in.

The engine however ticks over with a purr and sounds and feels real tight much nicer then b4, and I now remember why Ive kept the car for so long and have no intention of getting rid any time soon.

I havent mate, its been on and off more times then a whores knickers at the moment.

Having some issues at the moment, I need to get the cats off as I think there screwed and the lump started running real rough and smoked like a chimney. It also started to tap a little although its stopped now still goes like stink though, oils ok water fine, there is like a fine white dust all up the back of the car and it originates from the exhaust.

So the over fueling may have melted the cats I just hope thats all it is.

Cats are well and truely fooked, there are some signs of debry in the inlet manifold. Hopfully once removed be Ok fingers X.

Hi Si, Sorry to hijack your thread - been trying to get a message to you but it wont let me for some reason.

Really want to sort the wheel centre cap and strut out, could you email me to [email protected] to confirm and I will get payment out to you.

Thanks,

One cat off and cleaned out the other needs the subframe out the way to get it off so doing that as soon as I can.

Then back togther and an oil change then test drive.
