Ok im not that great with in debth technical but my mate is so i have a translater lol:D

I have a ph 2 R19 16v chamade with a f7p engine the info i am after is what parts/components do i need for a turbo conversion i have heard it is relitively not that bad, but i just would like to know what i would need, can anybody help?

Hi mate, this has come up quite a few times on the forum and links have been put up to sites where you can aquire all the parts from. I'm sure someone on here can find them for you, if you have no luck I will try and find them for you.

to be honest to do it right i think it can be very pricey, rods, pistons blah blah it really does add up to build a turbo conversion that will last, i support the idea but if youre worried about costs there are prob better (cheaper) options to get more pep from your car

Cheers guys money aint an issue really once i know what i need i will slowly get the bits for it, a few peeps have said to me to get the 182 engine and dump it in and then get it converted but i love the f7p engine its solid nothing wrong and want to really keep it.

Exactly what I was going to do but I wasn't impressed with a the 182's performance plus a F7p/r engine looks alot better imo. I opted for an F7r engine which I bought £150 with everthing minus the gearbox, gets here tomorrow actually :) then gets sent off to a builders to get head work, cams, pulleys, throttle bodies etc etc...

I was going to turbo it but for an every day car it would be no use to me, i've done just over 16,000 miles in 10 months and it costs me £70 a time to fill it and I only get 200 miles per tank already (I don't even want to work out how much I have spent on fuel ) so if it was turbo'd the fuel would be even worse. Won't be so bad when the mrs is driving...

200 miles to a tank, fuck me billy. u must be horsin it everywer! i got 350 out a tank on my last run to scotland, nice an easy on way tho, no more than 80mph! i was quite impressed!

Yeah mate, I think i've had 220 at the most ever. I still think it's over fueling, I do alot of urban driving but on my last run to scotland I filled up at stockport then had to refill at hamilton services. 50/60 miles to a quarter tank.

Brand new and set up correctly, I think it's a wiring fault somewhere?

F7r is here, shouldn't be too long untill it's in.

Get onto k-tec racing. A friend of mine has a clio 16v that k tec carried out a turbo conversion on. Was done 4 years ago and he's never had an issue. Worth having a chat with David there.
