Trophy Wheels........

Good tyre size calculator HERE

I've kept mine standard with 205/40/18 front and 245/40/18 rear with no problems. Might go up a size with the rears as the 245 getting top limit for the 9" rims and look a little tight on the side walls. Not sure what Mossy's running but they look extra low profile.

Well then..... Guessing you've got the Croms :salut: How's about some more info on them ;)

John Price Rallying had a V6 Trophy up for sale that was offered with a spares package..................most of the wheels were Team Dynamics but I just dropped lucky with a cheeky phone call.

It just so happened than when the Trophy sold and after a clean out they found they still had a used set of Cromodora's (9's & 8's) in one of the sheds.

I received yesterday, they're in very good condition but will need a respray as they're in an anthracite colour, and I think they need to be silver.

Not sure if they're best powder coated or sprayed but there's a wheel refurbish company in Preston that say they's dealt with Mag wheels before, so should be able to do but would like to have a look at them first.

Hey Mossy, that seems a little under sized on the rears - is that a typo ?

No matey, my car is very low and due to the croms not fitting the phase 2 rear arches correctly I needed some tyre stretch to took them under the arches with no fear of destroying the expensive body work.

Are these the guys your thinking of?? WRC-wheel repair centre
I had a look at them when I wanted mine doing......Didn't fill me with much confidence when talking with the lads [smilie=doubt.gif]
The magnesium wheels shouldn't be heated too much for risk of cracking them IIRC, I just took the safer option and got them painted LOL

Might be worth dropping Simon ( AKA (will-i-am) bill patchall ) a PM to ask where he got his done as I think he had a full refurb. Whoever did them made a cracking job, I think they are walnut shell blasted first ( or something like that ) proir to treatments but can't remember if they are finished with powder coat or paint.
