Trickle Charger

New Member
Done a few searches and it seams like a few of you guys use these over the winter.

Ideally I would like one that I can just unplug without taking all the bonnet liner out etc each time - ie run a lead with a connector on it from from the battery to possibly concealed by the front grill and then each time just plug in easily.

Can anyone recommend a decent one?

Thanks.
David.

The Accumate charger has been mentioned on the forum by some owners. It stays connected to the battery and you disconnect it elsewhere via a long lead and connector, so no need to remove the bonnet liner.

I just brought a Ctek charger for around £45. it offers a good range of charge options, all done automatically by the unit as it senses what the battery needs. it comes with leads that you can leave bolted to the battery terminals or there is cigarette lighter plug in you can buy as an extra.

Ive hard wired a plug to inside the car (by the pedals) so i can leave the vee on trickle charge over the winter without going near the bonnet.

Can't figure out whether it will charge the battery when plugged into the cigarette socket?
If it's anything like the Ctek I use the cigarette lighter is a no, tried it but it puts the interior light on 'dimly' and consiquently flattened the battery!!!!!! Connected direct to battery fine for months on end :approve:

Sexy now!! I may as well be the sexy naturally tanned Essex Boy!! ;)

Sadly not much of an Essex boy as I had to Google what TOWIE was.

Although back to my old self, I am still sexy, but the bronzing is more jaundice in nature :-)
