Tracker Problem

Rang up Trackstar last night to register and do a test on my Vee's tracker. Was told that they couldn't connect to it and one of the customer services people would ring me to sort something out. Just got off the phone and was told they could either send out an engineer at a cost of £125 or install a new system for £250. To be honest, neither option was attractive to me. Where I live car crime is virtually non existent and after paying out for the Vee and all the other bills that goes with it I'm not really in the mood to spend that kind of money on something that probably won't be of much use. Could it of been that there was not a strong enough GSM signal when they tried to contact my tracker as it's very hit and miss around here with mobile signal strength?

Drive to an area with a decent mobile phone signal and call them reqesting a test track. I live in a poor reception area and mine was delayed a few weeks back when it was going up to Motech.

They did find your vee on their system? I had problems with mine cos they couldnt identify my tracker using my personal plate or the original plate. In the end they put the first seven digits of my VIN into the system as a number plate and they found my vee. If its a reception problem then use Wayne's solution :) I remember being told the same about engineer etc and I said no my vee definately has a tracker and I wasnt going to pay extra for no reason. If you want I can tell you where the tracker is located via a private message it that is any use to you?
