Track rod ends

Been reading a few posts from different people, and saw people buying 4 track rod ends and fitting etc.

So i pop to renault today and try to order some, was told it would only have 2, and that they are unavailable for the mk1 clio v6.

Basicly does sombody have the answer to this or even better part numbers?

Also whats the best engine oil? thats also got me confused

Probably 2 at the front and 4 at the back ...

Track rod ends are usually associated with the steering arm track rod ends at the front (that is 2), but I believe the Vee has track rods at the back with inner and outer joints, so that would make the 4.

On the MK 1 there are 2 different types steering rack listed.

Type SMI and Type Other

Strangely both racks have the same part number 62020013058 C3 £450.00

Rack type SMI lists track rod ends seperately

Ball joint LH 7701474492 £44.50
Ball joint RH 7701474493 £44.77

Cheers chaps, its at the back i have the prob.

They cant adjust the rear right to do the tracking, as its seized. They then went on to say best to get the track rod end replaced that side.

So may as well get the whole rear of the car sorted at the same time. Now iam lost as to what iam going to need

I think sometimes Renault dealers can be very lazy or very stupid and unhelpful.
