track car

in fairness 895 is bollox, looks great but when there are such better deals out there i suspect this will be another car that ends up in pieces

Hello, I'm Paul & this is my car. The reason it is advertised for that figure is that I promised my mrs that after blowing £14k last season competing in an impreza, I would take a year out & not compete this year.

However this 19 came up for sale & I told her that I bought it to sell.. Not my fault nobody wants to buy it! ;)
Looks like I may have to keep it.. So does anyone have a complete aftermarket non cat exhaust to sell me?!

Thanks,
Paul

you could weld in a pipe to decat it if your current exhaust is in decent shape, if not i recomend a remus one, i have one on my cabby and its the ultimate

Cheers but it's a home made pea-shooter that rattles against the body with my fat ass in it & they've cut the bumper to fit!

Yes such a pity it didn't sell, good on ya mate. Good luck with it.

Car looks ok but the harnesses look dangerous to me, the angle they come down from the rear of the seats at will crush your spine if they're ever forced to do what they were designed for.

They do look a bit steep.I'm more surprised at the lack of cross bracing on the rear of the cage.It looks like a show one?

Aahh. I supose being a track car,it really doesn't need a multi point cage affair,or whatever the race spec ones are. I remember many years ago,a friend had a removeable diagonal brace on a mk2 Escort cage,so he could use the rear seat.

In hill climb it doesn't even have to have a cage. Cross bracing & new harness mounting points are things that are easily fixed - thanks for the comments.

I have now bought a cat free exhaust so what else can be done to help this 19 along?

Does the exhaust manifold flow free enough or do you guys swap for a Clio etc?
Is there a Prima racing ecu?
Can I squeeze much more than it's 140hp without a migraine bottom end?!

jus get a newer more upto date eprom they read faster and the soft cut and hard cuts are close plus higher revs and mapped more to the mods you got..

clio manifold dont fit, there is ones for 19s but there rare

you could cam it aswell

if you want good power and torque cheap get a megane 2l bottom end (f7r) and bang on the 1.8 head complete and williams chip in the ecu (or a mapped chip) so say the cast manifold is good for tourqe so i left that on mine and 1.8 cams as mine revs to 7.2k like a 1.8 not 6.4k like a williams so i thought would be better (imo)

depends what you want to spend im gna try supercharge my f7 lump if i can and standard insides

hit www.clio16valver.co.uk for tuning shiz like chips ect maybe somat else you fancy or can use in the regs, theres more active tuning people on it with 16v clios most of its the same ;

and have you put a magnet to it :P (cage)
