I told Tom about that the other night, knew about it last weekend as I am a member of the Lancer Register

The Evo in question was seized by the Police under the proceeds of crime act and given to Top Gear on the proviso that it was destroyed.
It was seized in Bristol.

Top Gear had also contacted the MLR wanting a look a like car to use for the 'beauty' shots which was provided but not used in the end.
The Registration plate of the Evo destroyed is not its actual registration

yup, was getting the jist of this story from elsewhere, as with many TG stories, theres always a story behind it somewhere

thought there might have been a good reason. TG would'nt distroy a good car like that for no reason? or would they?:mrgreen:

the only reason TG got that Evo was on condition it was destroyed.
