to track or not

The vee has had one of those weeks when if it can go wrong it has. The abs ring on the drivers side has gone so I now have no abs and a track day on Monday.I cannot transfer or change track day so do I risk it with out abs or just not go? (my first in the vee)

your opinions would be appreciated
thanks

I'd say take it to the track day. The idea is you never use the ABS anyway so just remember not to stamp on the middle pedal like a muppet. There are plenty of track day junkies out there running no ABS. At the end of the day, ABS doesn't give you anymore grip or stopping power. I did Mas du Clos in the wet and only remembered about the lack of ABS when looking at the dash. Obviously this is just my opinion. If your not comfortable driving without ABS, leave the car tucked up at home for sure. :approve:

Like Brett said really.. As long as you're not doing any damage to the car by running a faulty ABS set up.

Whilst having some 1-1 track tuition at Dunsfold, he was teaching me how to avoid the ABS cutting in under heavy breaking!.. So no 'need' for it.

God it's like the works of Shakespere on here at the moment :)

to vee or not to vee!

In the vee its not late braking that makes you quick its about stability through a corner and powering out as early as possible so break earlier than you would and slightly gentler than you would. Remember track days arent a race so go at your own pace if you arent comfortable taking the vee to the limit. I am sure you will have fun nonetheless :)
