Timing Valve Gone!!!

Hi, I took the Vee to Le Mans and onto Cannes for a holiday but when down there something went amiss :( Just got back and into my local garage. Fault code reader shows the timing valve on bank 1 is showing an open circuit. Not too bad to replace at about £60 but wanted to know if anyone knows the correct code.

The part that we think has gone is the light blue plug in the centre of the photo. The symtoms are very little acceleration above 4.5k but plenty of torque if you go into lower gears.

Renault think it will be 9642105380 but have never supplied one in the leeds area and dont have one in stock. They can order one but its not returnable and I cant get the model number of the one on the engine yet as I will need to unclip a fuel line and dont want any petrol going onto a hot engine.

Many thanks if anyone can help!

Finally got the Vee back on the road. The model number above is the correct one. If you find the car drives like a diesel, ie loses power above 4.5k rather than gains it then you could have the same problem i did. Fairly simple fix. Part was 70 quid from renault including VAT. There is only 1 bolt holding it in place. To remove it however you need to unclip the fuel rail and take of the plenum cover. About an hours job from start to finish.

Its great to have the car back and running as it should!
