Clio Time attack Clio IV rs build

Hi, I'm from Australia, this is my Clio mk4 RS, I have this car for almost 5 years now, it started from 'just a silencer delete' now it's just another financial mistakešŸ˜†.
I've been on track several times; I suppose that's where I got my addiction for mods from.

It will be used for time attack once the build is completed.

My goal is to create more influence and focus on functional performance mods(power & handling)for the Clio mk4 scene, the more people asking for performance mods, the more and better aftermarket supports we will have.

I've been gathering parts and researches for my final set up with the built engine. Originally I wanted to do a G25-550 setup, but now I may choose the GTX2860R II 0.57ar because with the right support mods it'll spool up slightly faster, and I'm not chasing high peak power on an FWD track car.

I am afraid you might have to shut the front door as that is painfully cool. I think you have built my favourite Clio RS in one go.

Have you seen that @RSTuning has great power results with the 19T "Mamba" turbo this week

Is that a route to go or are you dead set on the g25-550?

Hahaha, thanks! I had the same turbo made by boostec 2-3 years ago. Above dyno sheet is in flywheel figure, with blouch 16G, I have 285whp with 18.6% drivetrain loss from the dyno that I ran on, so it's about 338hp at the flywheel.

In regards to the g25, it depends on if my clutch guy can uprated the clutch, or what's going to happen to the gearbox if my final tune is 8k + rpm. It's just too many variables and people/parts to depend on. I want to have EWG set up, but the g25 smallest 0.49 ar only comes in with IWG the custom job can be done to make it EWG, but it will be very messy.

Great power then! :)

Will be interested to hear about how you get on with the clutch as I understand this is the limiting factor. The G25-550 should be good for fantastic power. I know the meg boys use them but you are a 1600cc engine, right?

Yes, it has been done by Inoxline, 0.72AR EWG was used, not sure the size of the runner, dyno sheet isn't very clear, but it seems it spool up quite early.

The figures dont seem to be quite right for a G25? 301.5CV?

Looks a lot of hassle for not a lot of gain there. Have I missed something?

It might be atw, and they had to cap the torque, my mechanic has done something to my gearbox, so I'm able to run a bit more torque than usual, also if they had more controls of the TCU, he should've used more rpm to build power. The torque curve is insane, nearly 70% of the power band is at peak torque no taping off.

Does Airtec turbo cooler mounting require any extra modification or did it land on standard IC place or somewhere else? Just asking if it's possible to fit it with proalloy IC without problems.

Being at the stock IC location definitely made the fitment easier, but it's not a straight bolt-on as when you have Airtec IC.
The Mishimoto oil cooler is the same case.
