I think it was Billy Connolly who said that folks from Scotland start off blue, then turn pink in the sun, peel, and go back to blue. The only effective sun screen he mentioned was a boiler suit and a balaclava.

Bits of me are from Scotland, and despite living in Australia for 10 years, the worst sunburn I've ever had was on the Isle of Skye!
