After mentioning the west in another thread some folks were asking for a bit more details so here goes.
The car is a 2004 built car created for Marangoni tyres to race as a showcase vehicle for their tyres. Unfortunately the story goes that the tyres weren't up to the job and the car was sold on. The car belongs to my mate Neil who i help out running his Formula Ford race car. He owns this and a Cerbera 4.5 and a jaguar XJR.
This is very much the track toy of choice however. We have done track days in the past with me in the westy and him in the cerbera - The westy absolutely decimates the cerb on track. It out corners, out brakes and out powers the Cerbera everywhere on track. It will also keep up with our mate Ali's Ginetta G50 race car only loosing out slightly on top speed power up the main straights at knockhill. In short its bloody fast!
Spec wise. Ive taken this from a thread about the car on the WSCC forum but its had a lot of engine work since then to make it more powerful. In current spec its pushing roughly 225 bhp. the car weights roughly 580kg Wet so around 400 bhp/ton. We recon on a dry day with a full bore launch 0-60 in about 3.5 seconds would be achievable.
so spec wise

Some Video.
As an illustration of how quick this thing is heres some footage taken (1 min 20 secs in) from a stripped caged 172 with some cams and head work. If you keep watching you'll see how quick i pass the E46 M3 up the straight also.
and finally heres some video from the last time we had it out (Me Driving) Im much more confident with it now so can push it a lot harder.
