5 GT Turbo The GT Turbo restauration in Germany

Thank you,
It's fun to build like a puzzle. 've Let everything new galvanizing and powder coating. Did the 5 Series for the next few decades built. It is when he is ready, like new. So the plan. On Thursday, mirror and bumper are repainted again, which I did not like. 'm Building become very sophisticated about that.

I bought the GT Turbo at CGB an exhaust system that needs to be refinished, unfortunately, does not fit properly.
After GT Turbo I will make my GTE, I also no longer have 12 years moved. He has been good for the race rust, sides and windshield frame. He is also fresh again, just not as extreme.

Greeting Uli

IMG_2465.webp Also have as many original parts installed, because I know that work. Unfortunately, there is not much at Renault France. Already have good contacts.
Of course everything is not cheap, but I want it that way.

Hi @Turbinenrad,

I am interested in the parts you had Galvanized. I am getting some parts for my R11 Turbo restoration and am thinking to Powder Coat them afterwards but have read different things on the Internet? Did you have good results? Did you have to do any special preparation of the parts?

Regards

Steve

Hi
I am impressed by galvanizing. I've got a guy who makes me after work. He knows that I want it nice and thick, since the parts stay a little longer in the pool, by the current more zinc is tightened.

Before I leave galvanize parts, I sharpen the completely blank or enter the sandblasting from. The parts are immersed in different basins, so that nothing sits on the metal, then go into the zinc bath. The build with the parts also makes a lot of fun, everything like new.

Have so here is already my name off:drinks.gif:
