The black frog???

I am pretty sure I know the company that first performed a lot of the work on this car early in it's life, I was there back in March having a look round there workshops at some of the frankly amazing cars they were working on and the owner was interested in the work I was doing on my v6 at the time.
He mentioned that they had quite a few years ago worked on a black v6, which the owner had wanted everything in black. They had even anodised the fuel cap black for the owner he said (Just like in the pictures).

I wonder if it's just coincidence or whether this is the same car...

i believe this could be ex member le gruinelle noirs (ive spelt that wrong but you get the idea) he always referred to his car as the black frog

there also was a female member from london with a black vee done identical, even the fuel cap

the black frog was the username of an old owner (although in french) & the nickname he gave the car.

not seen the car personally, but have seen pics and known about it over the years. nice car by all accounts :approve:

That must be the one I was told about, because the owner of the workshop said it was a female owner who lived in London.

I think his forum name was later shortened to 'LGN' (La Grenuille Noir(spelling)) lol

#338 certainly sounds about right. I remember seeing the car in 2007 at Goodwood Breakfast Club once. The black paint on the fuel cap was peeling off but other than that a tidy enough looking car. I can't remember his name now, but he used to go on PH breakfast runs in it, infancy, those that remember the Rye meet a few years ago, and the all lanes we took after the Lewes tunnel run was part of a route suggested by him... John maybe?

Ive followed him recently in the north east ( A19 , Peterlee area ) It only lives about 1o miles from me , but I dont know the owner ! He"s reduced it ,it was up for about £12500 a couple of months ago on PH :)

I have always loved this motor, met LGN at WSR one year and i have to say this car looks awesome in the flesh!!!!!
