Tar spots

I have loads of tar spots on my wheels especially the rears and wondered what people would recommend to remove them? I have tried using a clay bar but to no avail, was thinking maybe a bit of autoglym intensive tar remover might shift it....any suggestions??

I have used a mild T-Cut and that worked well.

I used some "bug and tar" remover from halfolds, it come in a black spray on bottle and works well it is also thick so sticks to the car rather than running down the body. Good stuff.

Use AG Tar Remover which is the best thing ever. It can take 5 minutes and and a fair amount of applications to disolve the tar, but it works very, very well.
