Got an fab quote from "elephant":
ok, so I limit the mileage, wack up the excess and put social use only... got offered £357 - bargain.
anyway there was some problem, so I gave them a call. I hadn't informed them my missus was in an accident a year ago (non-fault, all losses recovered) - anyway the premium shot up £70!

Anyway I got the same (increased) premium with a lower excess through confused.com

Kett,

That's still a brilliant quote, when most of us are paying another £200+ for ours....!! Be chuffed...!!! :D

Yep ... only Admiral group have this fcuking stupid policy. They say that their statistics show that if somebody has had a non-fault accident in the last three years, they're more likely to have a fault accident, and so they load the risk. I had somebody bump the back of my 172 in traffic 6 months before I got the Vee - non-fault, fully settled. Admiral went to stick £100 on my policy ... I told them were they could stick their policy ;). Then the were stupid enough to contact me to ask why I'd left ...
