Suspension Geometry Settings
Background
There have been many articles written (link some here?) that criticize and support the handling characteristics of the Mk1 and Mk2 Clio V6. Numerous accidents during the initial press outings following the release of the Mk1 set the scene for the need to be more respectful of the handling characteristics of this rear-engined, short-wheelbase car.
The Mk1 V6 is regarded to have inferior handling compared to the Mk2, though this could be a question of perception. However, a number of suspension changes were made to the Mk2 V6 to 'improve' handling (references?).
CAUTION: It is essential to have your suspension geometry optimized to at least OEM settings and, if inclined, make adjustments to improve handling for your specific driving style. Be aware that handling can be significantly impaired with even minor changes, so seek expert advice if you or the technician making the changes are uncertain.
Tyres & Tyre Pressures
Tyre pressures impact handling significantly, as do the tyres themselves. Ensure that your tyre and pressure choices complement any suspension geometry changes.

Alternate Mk2 Settings
(Confirm whether these are actually OEM Mk2 settings?)

Actual Settings From Various Cars
NB: Several members have had tracking done at Demon Tweeks. They have the equipment and seem capable of doing the job well while respecting your car. Contact Craig Wood at Tel: 01978 663056 or email: [email protected]. Prices may vary but are generally £30 fixed plus £15 for each angle adjusted.
