Thanks to all that attended this month... all the usual faces, notable absences were of course Sunbeam Lotus.. work must come first though..! Hope to see you in April Simon..

Looking forward to us all attending with our v6's next month.. haha... should be half a dozen or so. plus a couple of other Renault Sports perhaps. :) That said... we'd rather see you there in your daily than not at all.. :race:

Bring on the sunshine and clear blue skies..! [smilie=yay.gif]

With getting up in time for being on the road at 6am on Thursday,it was getting sufficient sleep beforehand that was the issue that kept me away from Wednesday's meeting.

As you say, bring on the sunny days. This weekend saw me in Clacton on Saturday (rally meeting) and not being able to see 100m out towards the sea. The (company) car was white with salt after the 300 mile round trip when the morning run out was soaking. I couldn't be bothered to get the Clio out yesterday in case the roads to Wales (rally marshalling) were equally dirty but it turns out I would have got away with it - particularly in the afternoon when the weather was rather lovely. The Easter weekend is looking rather mixed, weather wise, at the moment - the only up side would be an excuse not to have to cut the grass at home!

I hope to see you all in April. :)

Simon

Sorry for ultra short warning! July meet up is tomorrow night at the four horseshoes in Chobham. Address & time above. All are welcome!

Hi, Duncan (and all),

I am afraid that I can't make tonight's supper. A prospective Westfield Eleven builder is coming round to mine to look over and have a ride in my car before he goes to the factory to put money down. Probably won't be finished until 8pm.

Maybe see some of you at Silverstone Classic this weekend (?) or catch up next time at the Four Horseshoes.

Simon

Were thinking of trying to incorporate a little run out on the way to the pub next time, anyone who fancies a night of talking cars, please do feel free to join us, you would be most welcome.

A most enjoyable evening indeed..! Well done for taking some pics Duncan..

Nice little drive back too hahaha..

Roll on next months meet!! [smilie=yay.gif]

My drive home to Oxford ended up rather longer than usual. Overnight roadworks on the A34 (obviously unknown to the TomTom lady) meant that I carried on along the M4 to Junction 14. No problem, thought I - one of my favourite roads across the Berkshire Downs to Wantage and then home. However, I ended up getting caught behind a growing stream of lorries similarly avoiding the A34 and with so few overtaking places, I only got free of the artics four miles from home and reversed onto the drive a couple of minutes before 11pm..

All worth it for a good supper and great company. See you next time.

Could have been even better :race: if you weren't running late( as usual ) so ended up in the MIni because it would have taken too long to get the V6 out of the garage ;)

Funny that. Last time I met you lot down there I had to do the same thing. I know that road very well Simon and sometimes go out my way for a hoon down or up it.
