As you know Peter, I'm well up for this...
but it would need to be on nearer M4/Heathrow than Sussex/Kent to make London more viable than Leeds for me.

...and I expect the London date will need to be quite specific. :?

How about this for a suggestion?

When we have a few more names we pick the easiest part of London for us all to get to. I'd guess somewhere just off the M25.

Sounds fair to me!

I doubt we will be looking at South or East of London.

I want a mk1 remap for sure

any news or ideas on this at all?

All interest will be collected and if we can get 5 then rock on with another group buy. BUT I will be concentrating on this group buy for a bit. Sorry but I want to get one thing closed off at a time. :(

However we also have the Superchips option if your in a hurry. Their website has dyno trces for the mk1. We have a 10% club discount and they have offered 15% for 5+.

Peter we can do the MK1 no problem but in Leeds for the first one...

Cheers

Paul

As stated I want to concentrate on the mk2's to get them done.

BUT who's up for being the development mk1? Please PM me if interested. Ideally someone near(ish) to Leeds.

Cheers

Isn't Paul saying he will do the MK1s as part of this deal though as long as there is some northern monkey who can get their's done first?

Indeed. Something along those lines.

Yes, a soft one :)

I might not be in on this one now as I've just dropped off my car at the bodyshop... I have no idea how long it will be in there :(

Surely they have given you an estimate of time...? :?

Anyway we can wait a few weeks.

Not got any firm dates yet. Hoping to get some ideas soon tho.

You know your "Clio RenaultSport v6 245" will annoy you in comparison to our 255's!

Guys looking at doing the London mapping session on 9th December. Comments pls!

That gives Ant 3 weeks from today to get his car back.

Easiest place to find for a meet for mapping is motorway services.

First suggestion for loction is services on the M25
Clacket Lane - J5-6 (too far south?)
South Mimms - J23 (too far north?)
None of those seem ideal.

What about Heston Services on M4 J2-3?

Or open to ideas?

Cheers

So how will this mobile service work? Perhaps RS Tuning could clarify - what does the chipping involve, how long does it take, what sort of guarantee is offered? And being mobile, I presume they'll want cash?!

On a mapping note, can the guy with the conversion/RS Tuning comment if the chip removes the hesitation that the car has at low speed (perhaps a fuel cutoff in the original map?).

They plug into the OBD port in the car and using special software upload new maps to the ECU. IIRC its doesn't take very long to do each car (20mins?)

I'm assuming payment could be cash, or before-hand via switch / cheque.

Not sure about garantees. Paul?

Nev can you comment re: flats spots?
