The discussions continue..

I wonder how many v6 owners have had these pads fitted? Can any owners give a positive opinion on these?

Please note:
There will be a delay of 2 weeks now as Paul the mapper @ RSTuning is on hols. When he returns new maps will be loaded, we will get some driver feedback, and finally RR figures from the trial v6.

In the meantime discussions will continue with other firms to get some other options available.

Cheers
Peter :D

......And I am heading off on hols tomorrow am silly-early! :(

As such this group buy is officially on hold for 7 whole days. :(

You'll live.

Peter. :D

OK so checked up and I have had ZERO further info from any suppliers. VERY dissapointing. :( Those excused from that comment are RSTuning and GDI.

Apparently GDI are going to be delayed getting firm prices due to a change of premises and the need to setup PC's etc. RSTuning will hopefully give an update later this week (after the mapper returns from hols).

I'm looking to wait for these guys to get back to me re ECU stuff. I have info already from Chipped UK and Superchips as already posted.

TBH i'm putting the suspension group buy on the back burner. That is for two reasons. Firstly responces have been VERY poor. Secondly I want to ensure I don't get distracted as there is still quite some work to be done on the ECU stuff.

However is anyone wants to post up their interest I am only to happy to get some help to maybe look into the suspension stuff whilst I am looking into the ECUs. I can then pick up the suspension later if required.

Cheers

Propa job Peter!

I see where you're coming from on the suspension side, but with all this extra power we'll be getting a better handling car will be a must!! The Leda setup James has seems like a good option - perhaps James can post on how his setup is performing.

Hi guys

Just a quickie to say i'm back and will be working on this first thing tomorrow. If all goes well we should have the first one up and running for the wkend.

Watch this space :D

Excellent news. Looking forward to some feedback from the first trial car and eventually some RR stats to quantify the improvment.

Cheers

More good news. RSTuning are back on track to test the first remapped ECU. Awaiting dates but hopefully we should soon have some feedback and before and after RR figures.

Hopefully GDi will come back with some prices soon as well.

Cheers

Update from RSTuning.

New ECU map will be loaded onto the trial Vee tomorrow. We should be able to get some feedback from the owner over the weekend.

However then the owner then is off on hols so it looks likely we will have to await his return for the RR tweaks and then final figures.

Progress tho!:D

Thanks
Peter:D

Further update:

This is getting most dis-heartening! :(

It was not possible to get the new RSTuning test map loaded on Saturday. Also still no word from GDI on prices.

Progress is back to snails pace. :(

Peter

Good things come to those who wait

As soon as nev is back we'll get the first one done. Please bear with us but i'm confident it will be worth the wait.

Thanks

Paul

To be clear:

I'm not moaning. There was a ligitimate un-avoidable and totally understandable reason for the delay with the test car.

Its just a shame that we are slipping another 2 weeks. :(

This will soon become the "V6 owners Xmas present" thread.

Peter :D

P.S. Any other mk2 owners near Leeds?

Yeah apologies, had a sudden death in the family so was involved with getting that sorted, and now I'm off to Orlando for a couple of weeks to 8) at the theme parks and be a big child again.

As soon as I'm back I should be able to take my car in to get the mapping uploaded and feedback.

As Paul says, the best things come to those that wait.
