It would need to be yes. Hence my comment on doing 5 cars in one day!
Even if you were fast at removing the chip and soldering a socket for the emulator i'd say this is impossible.
I'll stick to the remap's via OBD :wink:

Totally, live mapping with an emulator is best for development of the base tuned file, any tweaks can be made via datalogging not live mapping over OBD, some people confuse these terms
To properly tune with an emulator on first the rolling road and then fine tune on the road would take a good day, hence a base file is always written then fine tuning is done after some datalogging.....
