Make very, very, sure that the company know the Bosch motronic 7.1 very well!
IT IS A MOTHERF#CKING COMPLEX ECU.
I know only a few real experts who can access it:
Amongst the ones I know: Porsche and Hugher motorsport.
Not even Renault for that matter.
Anyone who does mods to this system, mostly just fools the airtemperature feed into the ECU, hence it goes from a 1:14.7 towards the 1:12.5 fuel air ratio, which gives a bit more power. :?
As an additional they accelerate the throttle valve towards the pedal position. This gives just an impression of powergain. Works very well with the fillercap and tupperware tuning community.
Let them show you the real 3D mapdata, before you let them fool around with your ECU.
Before you realize you end up with a bit of powergain, but also have a few acceleration dips.
This is also the main reason, why there is so little aftermarket turbo or supercharger development for the RS2.
The RS1 is a different story though.
