Time to resurrect an old thread.............
Pictures of Phase 2 [v6plaque]035[/v6plaque] look fantastic, but more importantly I have just come across the
Renault Clio V6 Buyers Guide in Practical Performance Car (August 2007, Issue 40) that is the subject of this photo shoot.
The article starts off as follows:
"
The £10K super car
RENAULT CLIO V6
With bullfrog looks and bulldog bite the Clio V6 isn't for the lilly livered. Ed Hull shows you how to buy the mid-engined exotic that's built to thrill".
I quite like this bit:
"
Think of it as a 60s or 70s Italian supercar, made reliable and crammed into the familiar silhouette of a Clio"
Good article, without the usual wish-washy commentary that just brushes over the important bits. In depth enough, and with the right amount of technical information that befits a proper buyers guide. Possibly the only buyers guide I have read that emphasises not to overlook cars "
at the cheaper end of the market.......that's been a Cat D write-off and repaired", along with checking for loose subframe bolts, and, with reference to the geometry, not to trust "
a Renault dealer to get them right" .
v6Clio.net does get a special mention, and so does Scott (SGM), who I am sure provided the necessary technical info. :approve:
If this feature is not on record, I can scan and email it when I have some time to Duncan and/or Ben, who I am sure will be able to do the needful.
I see that [v6plaque]035[/v6plaque] is still owned by a club member cslcraig.
