Strange audio cables

Hi!

I have som ICE stuff in my car that i dont think is original and I just want to find out if I can remove it or if its good to have.
3 pictures: first is a thick cable in the luggage compartment behind were the battery sits, its just hangning there and I dont know if its connected to anything in the car?

second picture is in the car and what I think is a tweeter, does everybody have those in the back of their cars?

third and last picture is under the dashboard were all the audio cables go to, maybe an amplifier or som sort of filter?

If everyone has all of these stuff then I let it be there but I want to know, specially about the big cable in the front.

the tweeter is definately not OEM. not sure about the rest of it.

id hazard a guess that the amp in the dash is aftermarket too.
 
Looks like an old aftermarket audio system has been partly removed.

Do you currently have a fully working stereo system?
 
Thanks for the fast answers! Yes my system works ok, not great sound but not bad either. If its installed ok and everything works im ok with it but the cable in the front doesnt seem right just to have it hanging there?

The strange thing is that the cable and "hole" into the passenger compartment looks oem but it just seems that someone has cut it of and leave it there. Do any of you have that cable and if so were does it go to?

The cable looks as though it is a power cable from an amp. I wouldn't have thought this was OEM and more likely a previous owner has had it fed through to the battery. I may be wrong though.

Anyone else got some thoughts on this?
 
What has everybody else in the place were the cable goes out in to the front compartment? Is it room for a cable there or has someone drilled thorugh the firewall? If someone is sitting on a picture or can take one that shows how its looking originally, that would be great!

I have finally taken a look at this, the big cable just landed behind the passenger seat (LHD car) together vid another black cable and som small ones. There must have been an amp or something there that some prevoius owner kept.

Anyway all the cables that are not in use is gone and Im happy.

One more question for you all, does everybode have this thing on there dashboard? If someone do, please tell me what it does.

I have the imobiliser on my key, wich opens the door then I have about 30 seconds to start my car otherwise it wont start and I have to lock the car again to start it.

Do you think i could disable the car to start if I begin to fiddle with that? I want to know what its connected to :D

leave well alone if I were u tbh

you could cause more problems fiddling about with something you no nothing about
