Standard dampers in the Clio V6 PH1?

Hello!

Just need some info, since my car is in storage during the vinter.
What kind of dampers are the PH1 delivered with?

I've got in contact with a guy in sweden who's telling me that he has Original Adjustable dampers from Konis to clio V6, but that he misses the tool to adjust them?

What kind of dampers is he talking about?
Or is he wrong?
What kind of suspension are the Vee ph1 delivered with?

Regards Patrik

Hmmm ... nothing was adjustable as far as I know, tho' I've got a vague memory of front or rears being Koni shocks.

OK, maby maby the ride height are adjustable, and he's just calling them adjustable suspension..
Since he's talking about some kind of special tool that he's missing, it does sound like that. He will look at the model number for me today.

There's nothing adjustable on any standard v6 suspension. He is right in that the standard strut is Koni and standard springs are Eibach.

Not sure what special tool he is requiring to be honest :s

Interesting, I seem to think the dampers are adjustable. I have a brand new set of Koni's for the front, from Renault, sat in my living room.

Looking at the Koni website, it explains the adjustment procure for each series of their damper. I tried the procedure, and it works. With the damper adjusted to opposite settings, it is clear that the time taken for the housing to drop under it's own weight (rod retracted to rod extended) is different.

It should be noted that these dampers can be overhauled - coming from the Koni technician. Quite a relief, considering that the rear drivers side is no longer available from Renault!

I will be getting all four of mine overhauled in the near future, so will keep you all updated on the progress. I am also in the process of renewing every single bush and ball joint on the chassis. Should make quite a difference!

Phil
