SS braided brake lines

Yay or nay ???

I'm thinking of upgrading the brake lines to some SS braided, like the goodridge ones. I've heard they firm up the pedal nicely. Are there any other benefits ?

Are they a worthy mod ??

I have Goodridge brake lines. Was told they will be better than OE ones.

For the sake of £50 or so, i think they will be on the shopping list prior to my imminent big service.

I had them fitted to my old vee shortly before I sold it.. doh!

They certainly firm the peddle up a bit, mine were getting a little too spongey for my liking. They made no noticeably significant difference other than that though.

I'll still be up grading the current vee in due course..

I was out for a blat today and this is definatley something I will be getting. At times the braking effectiveness was very ppor. I think however, my Vee probably needs new discs as at times I was scared at how ineffectively the brakes were scrubbing of speed.

It's due a service in March but might book it in early and get new discs and line all round to see if that helps.

But back on topic )) whenever I have done this to previous cars I have always felt the benefit so will be doing it again with the Vee.

I ordered a set of hel brake lines from their site.

They came yesterday and the quality are superb, mine are denim blue which will suit illiad really well, the braided lines are coated in a upvc to protect them and the fittings are well made and solid. £59 free delivery

This is probably a really daft thing to say but I didn't think that you could see Braided Lines when fitted? (ie, I thought they were hidden behind other mechanical stuff)
