on a v6 mk1.

tried wd40'ing it but no amount seems to stop the squeek although its got a little quieter.

Tips?

I'm also interested in replies. I have the same problem and WD-40 doesn't work.

I don't notice it as much now though now that I have the QS exhaust. :)

Is it the pedal squeaking or from within the clutch. My Mk 2 squeaks from the clutch and probably won't stop untill it gets a new one.

I dunno to be honest, I thought it was the pedal. How can I be sure?

Im pretty sure its coming from the pedal as i've just been out in it.

My mk1 suffered from this when the weather was warm - think it just requires some well-placed silicone spray.

Happened with mine. Just but your foot heaters on full for 5 minutes thenthe noise will disappear for a while.

Speak to Andy at GDI. He sorted my creaking pedal out.

Some of us will want our cars back this year though

I've tried spraying more WD40 on the pedal and its still bloody squeeking.

It's definately the pedal.

Anything else I can try on it? It's driving me up the wall!
