Spa in Clio 3 RS Turbo

Yesterday I was in Spa for the "Journées passion Renault Sport" with my brother in his R26.
I had the luck of having a co-ride in a Clio 3 RS with R26 running gear modified to +-270bhp and in a Clio 3 RS with Meg3 RS 250 running gear (standard). They completely destroyed everything out on the track except a modified R26R. Now I wonder why i'm putting my money in the 21T;-)

I want one;-)

im wondering if the ecu just needs either virginising, i know scoff does that on the clio 2 ecus. meaning the clio 3 is very much a meg 2 under the skin? (wiring wise)?

wonder if the same goes for the twingo 2. hmmmmmmm

Virginizing is an option yes, however according to Scoff it's easier to just copy the original immo data and write it onto the new ecu

Clio 3 uses the same ecu as the Megane 2, hence it's relatively easy

Like your idea on the exhaust!

Also love your garage, looks like it's big!
The garage can take 4 cars (or maybe 5 clios;-) ) but the house was build in the late 70's so the garage is not high enough, and i can only enter or exit car by car. If i want to get out the 4th car i have to remove the 3 other one's first. But this is complaining on a high level, it's good to have room for 4 cars inside an 4 cars outside.

I was in Spa yesterday for the 'journées passion renault sport', first time on track with the turbo'ed clio. I was very pleased, the clio just feels like fwd-karting.
And it's fast;-) i entered the 'black group' (the pedal to the metal- group;-) ) and it was up to the megs.
It was big fun.
No vids, sorry for that, but i don't have a gopro yet.

Looking good mate, you've been to Fastchip haven't you?
Yes, i was. But henk told me to leave it like it is. It had 240bhp and 395 nm measured on the wheels and it's exactly as fast as my mate's now 300 bhp meg trophy-r (he came to henk with me on that day)
In Spa it was one of the fastest cars, i think the only ones faster were the gt performance meg's, but they are well over 300 bhp. Its good for 215km/h on the kamel straight when you hit all the kerbs thru eau rouge;-)
But as you know... It's never fast enough, a problem we all have in common;-)

Power is about what it should do and is fine indeed. I'm running about the same power and i haven't met much cars which are just as fast.

But as you say the hunt for more will always be present :D

The Clio is for sale now as I'll buy the Meg3 engined one from my mate.

Open to offers, If someone is really interested.

The Clio has the full R26 engine + gearbox, Mapping by G+G, full Miltek Exhaust system with Cat, Forge Piping, big FMIC, Recaro, Cup, Timing Belt, Waterpump replaced whilst build (7000km ago) The Clutch is new to.
Year 10/2009, 119.000km.

I have a set of Federal 595RSR on Autec wheels, the OE Axl Wheels with M+S (Winter/Snow-tires) and 4 Hankook Ventus Evo Tires (all 215/45/17) and a set of 18 inch OZ with Dunlop Sport Maxx.
